This bold, dark-roast Robusta coffee delivers a rich, intense flavour with a full-bodied profile that sets it apart from lighter coffees. Dark Krakatau offers a deep, smoky character and a satisfying, lingering finish for lovers of dark coffee.

Origin: Indonesia
Taste notes: Dark Chocolate and roasted nut flavours with a smoky whisky lingering finish. Low acid, heavy coating body.
Note on Dark coffee Beans: Longer roasting times bring out the natural oils in coffee beans, giving dark roasts their rich, bold flavor and glossy appearance. Enjoy the taste that only dark roasted coffee can offer!
Espresso Recipe: 1:2 coffee-to-espresso ratio with a 25-30 second extraction.
Plunger Recipe: Use a 1:12 coffee-to-water ratio.
- Measure: Add 30g of coffee to your plunger.
- Bloom: Pour 40ml of hot water (90-95°C) over the grounds, stir gently, and let it bloom for 30 seconds.
- Brew: Add the remaining 310ml of water and let it steep for 4 minutes.
- Plunge & Enjoy: Slowly press the plunger down and serve immediately.
Cold Brew Coffee Ratio:
- Strong Brew (1:8): 125 grams of coffee to 1 liter of water.
- Milder Brew (1:10): 100 grams of coffee to 1 liter of water.
Mix coffee and water in a jar, refrigerate for 12-24 hours, strain, and serve over ice. Enjoy!
